Summary
Support loss prevention safety and security initiatives at a supply chain distribution center to safeguard property employees merchandise and equipment. Perform monitoring screening investigations and incident documentation while collaborating with asset protection management and local law enforcement as needed. Work varied shifts including weekends and overnights to maintain a secure facility.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with building personnel and respond to incidents related to loss prevention safety and security
- Monitor identification badges for entry and exit and screen individuals using metal detectors
- Perform visual searches of bags and carry in items and enforce security screening procedures
- Escalate sensitive situations and collaborate with investigators managers or local law enforcement
- Initiate and conduct investigations of shrinkage and follow through on resolutions with appropriate partners
- Maintain site required documentation such as incident accident and inspection reports
- Audit physical security systems and perform daily interior and exterior building walks to identify corrective actions
- Review camera footage respond to alarms and complete initial incident documentation
- Support opening and closing of the building and perform special projects as directed
Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years experience in a customer facing service position ideally in loss prevention security or risk management
- Supply chain facility experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at various levels
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively to safety and security issues
- Proven accountability initiative and ownership in prior roles
- Willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts as necessary
