Summary
The Asset Protection Agent is responsible for protecting customers, team members, merchandise, and physical store assets by preventing and investigating theft, responding to emergencies, and supporting store safety protocols. The role partners with store leadership, Emergency Response Team, and external agencies to maintain a safe shopping environment and reduce shrinkage.
Responsibilities
- Conduct apprehensions and resolve theft incidents following policy and procedures.
- Monitor video and surveillance systems to identify suspicious activity and support investigations.
- Investigate internal and external theft by gathering evidence and documenting findings.
- Leverage reporting tools and RFID data to identify theft trends and merchandise movement.
- Prepare and submit incident reports for thefts, recoveries, safety incidents, and policy violations.
- Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team and respond to medical and safety emergencies.
- Lead security audits and implement merchandise protection standards and shrinkage reduction action plans.
- Collaborate with store leaders, neighboring retailers, and law enforcement to support investigations and prevention efforts.
- Testify in court when required for criminal or civil cases.

- Experience with investigative, asset protection, or security procedures preferred.
