Summary
Support loss prevention, safety and security initiatives at the distribution center to safeguard property, merchandise and employees. Perform screenings, audits, investigations and respond to incidents while working closely with managers and law enforcement as needed. The role requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work varied shifts including weekends and nights.
Responsibilities
- Greet and interact with building personnel and respond to incidents related to loss prevention safety and security
- Monitor identification badges and control entry and exit for employees visitors vendors and drivers
- Conduct screenings using walk-through and hand-held metal detectors and perform visual bag searches
- Investigate shrinkage and loss and collaborate with investigators and managers on resolutions
- Audit and inspect physical security systems including cameras access control and intrusion detection
- Perform daily interior and exterior facility walks documenting findings and implementing corrective actions
- Review camera footage for investigations and respond to building alarms
- Complete incident and accident documentation and forward for follow up
- Support opening and closing procedures and perform special projects as directed
Requirements
- High school diploma GED or equivalent
- 2+ years experience in a customer facing service role ideally in loss prevention security or risk management
- Supply chain facility experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact at all levels
- Calm and effective response to safety and security issues
- Proven accountability initiative and ownership in previous roles
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in security and personnel matters
- Willingness to work weekends and overnight shifts as necessary
