Summary

The Asset Protection Detective is responsible for safeguarding merchandise and assets at the store located on 59th Street. This role conducts loss prevention activities, monitors for theft and fraud, and works with store leadership and law enforcement as needed to protect company property and ensure a safe shopping environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct store patrols and monitor sales floor and stock areas for suspicious activity
• Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, and policy violations
• Document incidents and prepare detailed reports
• Work with store management to implement loss prevention strategies
• Collaborate with local law enforcement when required
• Assist in training staff on asset protection procedures
• Maintain surveillance equipment and review footage as needed

Requirements

• Prior experience in loss prevention, security, or related field preferred
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and conduct patrols
• Strong observation and investigative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confrontational situations calmly and professionally
• High school diploma or equivalent
