Asset Protection Detective

Summary

Protect the people and assets of the store while delivering a professional customer experience. Use investigative skills and technology to help reduce theft and maintain store safety and security.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers while working on the selling floor.
• Identify, observe, and apprehend individuals committing shoplifting, consistent with applicable laws and licensing requirements.
• Support shortage reduction programs in partnership with store departments.
• Help maintain building safety and security, including opening and closing the building when appropriate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years of related experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to adapt to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience operating and monitoring CCTV systems and ability to satisfy applicable licensing requirements.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, stand and walk for extended periods, apprehend shoplifters, and frequently lift or move up to 30 pounds.
