Asset Protection Detective - Tysons Corner

Summary

Responsible for protecting merchandise, assets, and people at the Tysons Corner store through surveillance, investigation, and enforcement of company policies. Conducts proactive loss prevention activities and partners with store leadership to maintain a safe shopping environment. Reports incidents and supports legal processes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor sales floor and surrounding areas to detect and deter theft and fraud
• Conduct investigations of suspicious activity and inventory shortages
• Apprehend or detain individuals when necessary and follow escalation procedures
• Prepare detailed incident and case reports for management and law enforcement
• Work with store team to implement loss prevention strategies
• Review surveillance footage and maintain evidence chain
• Provide testimony or support in legal proceedings as required

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in asset protection or loss prevention
• Knowledge of investigative techniques and evidence handling
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to stand and patrol for extended periods and respond to incidents
• Familiarity with store safety protocols and local law enforcement liaison
