Asset Protection Investigator

Summary

The Asset Protection Investigator monitors shortage results and controls, conducts investigations and apprehensions for internal and external theft, and implements store safety and awareness programs under direction of the Asset Protection Manager or Assistant General Manager Operations at a single store location.

Responsibilities

• Monitor shortage reports and audits daily and monthly
• Investigate incidents of internal and external theft
• Conduct apprehensions in accordance with store procedures
• Train store associates on asset protection policies and awareness
• Organize and conduct annual store inventory
• Develop shortage strategies for merchandise groups
• Implement paperwork controls and shortage awareness programs
• Perform ad hoc asset protection responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years asset protection experience in a large volume retail environment preferred
• Certification required where applicable by jurisdiction
• Wicklander-Zulawski certification a plus
• Ability to learn company standards, procedures, and IT applications quickly
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
