Asset Protection Outlet Detective - Upper West Side

Summary

Responsible for loss prevention and safety at an outlet location on the Upper West Side. Conducts investigations into shrinkage incidents and works with store leadership to maintain a secure environment. Represents the company in interactions with vendors, customers, and law enforcement as needed.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sales floor and perimeter to deter theft and misconduct
• Monitor CCTV and perform video reviews for suspicious activity
• Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, and policy violations
• Conduct undercover operations and apprehensions when appropriate
• Prepare and maintain detailed incident and case reports
• Work with store managers and corporate teams on loss prevention strategies
• Coordinate with local law enforcement for prosecutions when necessary
• Assist with safety audits and compliance checks

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in asset protection or loss prevention
• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security systems
• Strong observational and investigative skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confrontational situations calmly and professionally
• Capacity to work a retail schedule including nights and weekends
• Basic computer skills for report writing and incident tracking
