Summary
The Asset Protection Practitioner protects the people and assets of the store while supporting shortage reduction and a safe shopping and working environment. The role uses investigative skills, technology, and analytics to help ensure store compliance with asset protection programs.
Responsibilities
- Support asset protection efforts and shortage reduction, and ensure compliance with asset protection plans and programs.
- Build partnerships and maintain communication with asset protection, store colleagues, leadership, corporate teams, retailers, law enforcement, mall management, and legal counsel.
- Facilitate training on shortage and theft mitigation, operational procedures, and compliance.
- Use reports and data to support shortage control and theft mitigation, and drive improvements in safety and audit compliance.
- Help maintain a safe environment and ensure compliance with safety programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to three years of asset protection or loss prevention experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, organization, and follow-up skills.
- Working knowledge of alarms, electronic article surveillance, CCTV, and lock-and-key security.
- Ability to work with all levels of management, make sound business decisions, adapt to changing priorities, and work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds and perform required sitting, standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
