Asset Protection Practitioner

Summary

Protect the assets and people of the store while maintaining a high degree of professionalism. Use investigative skills, technology, and analytics to support asset protection and shortage reduction.

Responsibilities

• Support store asset protection efforts, shortage reduction, and compliance with asset protection plans.
• Build positive working relationships with store colleagues, leadership, corporate teams, local law enforcement, mall management, and legal counsel.
• Train colleagues and leaders on shortage and theft mitigation, operational compliance, and procedures.
• Use reporting and data to support shortage control and theft mitigation programs.
• Promote a safe environment and improve store safety, shortage, and audit compliance metrics.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of asset protection or loss prevention experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Working knowledge of alarms, EAS, CCTV, and lock-and-key security.
• Ability to work with all levels of management, make sound business decisions, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and lift or move up to 25 pounds.
