Responsibilities

• Monitor sales floor and surrounding areas for suspicious activity and potential theft
• Conduct visual surveillance and covert observation of customers and associates
• Intercept and detain suspected shoplifters following policy and legal guidelines
• Document incidents and prepare detailed reports for management and law enforcement as needed
• Collaborate with store management to implement loss prevention strategies
• Assist with inventory control and shrink reduction initiatives
• Maintain a visible presence to deter theft and ensure customer safety

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in retail security or loss prevention preferred
• Familiarity with visual surveillance techniques and incident reporting
• Ability to remain observant and attentive for extended periods
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and law enforcement
• Ability to follow protocol and legal procedures for detainment and reporting
• Capable of standing and walking for extended shifts in a retail environment
