Assistant Boutique Manager - South Coast Plaza

Summary

Assist the Boutique Director in day-to-day management of the leathergoods boutique, supporting sales performance, client development, merchandising, inventory and store operations to deliver exceptional luxury customer service.

Responsibilities

• Support and coach sales team to maximize sales and conversion rates daily.
• Open and close the boutique and ensure store security procedures are followed.
• Assist with scheduling, staffing, training and performance monitoring of sales associates.
• Develop clientele through clienteling initiatives and coordinate sales promotions and events.
• Participate in merchandise presentation and visual displays according to guidelines.
• Oversee merchandise handling including transfers, damages and return to vendor processes.
• Conduct and participate in inventories and minimize stock losses.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, cash handling and record keeping procedures.

Requirements

• 7+ years of retail experience, preferably with at least 3 years of management in a luxury setting.
• Strong commercial sense and fashion sensitivity consistent with a luxury brand.
• Proven ability to train, coach and develop associates and drive sales results.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization and follow-through skills.
• Ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays and to open or close the store.
• Capacity to remain on the selling floor for extended periods and operate POS and store equipment.
