Assistant Designer

Summary

The Assistant Designer supports the Womens Young design team by researching trends, sketching and developing concepts, preparing tech packs, assisting with fabric and trim selection, and collaborating with cross functional partners to ensure product meets brand standards. This role contributes to sample evaluation, fit feedback, project execution, and milestone preparation while managing multiple deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Research trends and competitive brands to inform design direction
• Sketch and develop design concepts and support trend report preparation
• Prepare tech packs and assist with fabric and trim selection
• Organize and evaluate samples and provide fit and construction feedback
• Collaborate with merchandising, production, and technical design teams
• Support Design Director with buy meeting and project preparation
• Plan facilitate and execute assigned design projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associates degree in Design
• Strong college portfolio and CV resume
• Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite and ability to hand sketch
• Clear written and verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team and manage multiple priorities
• Strong time management and multi tasking skills
