Summary

The Interim Assistant Manager supports the department manager in driving sales, coaching the team, maintaining merchandising standards, and delivering exceptional customer experiences in a commission based retail environment. This role focuses on recruiting, training, motivating staff, and assisting with inventory and shrinkage goals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit hire and train department sales staff
• Develop and execute business plans to achieve volume and productivity goals
• Coach and lead salespeople to deliver outstanding customer service
• Actively sell on the sales floor to build customer relationships
• Ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
• Assist with accurate inventory management and shrinkage control
• Work with store and divisional leaders to maintain productive relationships
