Summary
The Assistant Manager - Asset Protection supports store security and loss prevention efforts by responding to incidents, partnering with leadership on safety initiatives, and coaching asset protection staff. This role requires confidentiality, strong time management, investigative skills, and familiarity with monitoring technologies.
Responsibilities
- Work with Asset Protection leadership to ensure building security and safety
- Respond to and report store security and emergency situations
- Administer first aid and assist with emergency response when necessary
- Escort hostile individuals from the store and assist lost children
- Observe customer behavior for indicators of theft or fraud
- Partner with the Asset Protection Manager on employee safety incidents
- Coach Asset Protection employees to meet performance standards
- Review and approve incident reports and detention room videotapes
- Maintain use of monitoring and surveillance technologies
Requirements
- Proven success in investigative, asset protection, and security procedures
- Ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with employees and leaders
- Strong organizational, delegation, and follow through skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
- Computer proficiency including monitoring and surveillance technologies
- Understanding of APIS and XBR preferred
- Willingness to participate in emergency response team activities
