Summary
The Assistant Manager Beauty supports the Department Manager in driving sales and delivering exceptional customer experiences through directive selling, coaching, merchandising, and inventory management. This role focuses on developing personal trade, achieving department goals, and modeling product knowledge and fashion standards.
Responsibilities
- Use directive selling techniques to meet or exceed sales goals
- Build and maintain relationships with customers to grow personal trade
- Assist Department Manager in developing and executing business plans to achieve volume and productivity targets
- Coach and lead sales associates to meet Sell More Make More objectives
- Act as a fashion role model and product knowledge expert for customers
- Ensure merchandising and presentation standards are met
- Support accurate inventory management
- Manage competing priorities in a fast paced retail environment
- Track and use sales metrics to identify opportunities and drive volume
Requirements
- Proven track record of successful sales results and productivity
- Experience with directive selling techniques
- Ability to use key metrics such as top vendors and hot sellers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to follow through
- Experience coaching or leading retail sales teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Customer focused with strong communication skills
