Job Description

A prestigious, globally recognized luxury retailer specializing in high-quality apparel and accessories is seeking an Assistant Manager for its boutique located on Newbury Street in Boston. Known for impeccable craftsmanship and timeless collections, this boutique provides an exclusive shopping experience, emphasizing attentive service and premium product offerings.

As the Assistant Manager, you will support the Store Manager in leading daily operations, driving sales, and ensuring an exceptional client experience. You will assist in team leadership, operational efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of service and presentation. Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development
  • Support the Store Manager in hiring, training, and mentoring sales associates.
  • Foster a positive work culture by setting clear expectations and providing regular feedback.
  • Assist in organizing and delivering ongoing product knowledge and customer service training.
Sales & Client Experience
  • Drive sales targets by promoting a client-centric culture focused on relationship-building and personalized service.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and execute sales strategies and client outreach initiatives.
  • Handle VIP clients and challenging situations with professionalism, ensuring all customers receive a high-end, memorable experience.
Store Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day retail operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Maintain impeccable store standards in accordance with brand guidelines, ensuring all product displays, fixtures, and storage areas are tidy and well-organized.
  • Execute policies, procedures, and safety standards consistently, collaborating with senior management to ensure compliance.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Monitor individual and team KPIs, providing performance insights and action plans to meet or exceed store goals.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales results, inventory levels, and operational processes.
  • Identify growth opportunities and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
Collaboration & Communication
  • Act as a liaison between store associates and the Store Manager to ensure alignment on goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams including corporate partners, merchandising, and marketing to optimize the store’s performance.
  • Participate in regular meetings to share feedback, discuss store needs, and propose innovative ideas to enhance the business.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 2-3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a luxury retail environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to motivate teams, set clear goals, and drive results.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer-centric approach, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Retail Expertise: Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
  • Analytical Abilities: Comfort with sales reporting, KPI analysis, and the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Personal Attributes: Professional demeanor, detail-oriented, and adaptable with a passion for luxury and design.
