Summary
The Assistant Store Manager supports overall store operations, team development, merchandise management, and client experience. This role assists the Store Manager in leading the team, driving sales performance, building client relationships, and maintaining brand standards to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop store team, support onboarding and training, and assume Store Manager duties when absent.
- Supervise store personnel and implement company policies and grooming standards.
- Drive sales through clienteling, appointments, and building client books.
- Support performance improvement plans including Mystery Shopper results and sales objectives.
- Collaborate on visual merchandising to align displays with brand standards and sales performance.
- Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and opening/closing procedures.
- Ensure proper cash handling and adherence to POS and payment procedures.
- Deliver morning briefs and cultivate action plans to boost business and product performance.
- Recruit and develop talent and build succession plans for internal growth.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in retail preferred.
- Minimum 3 years luxury retail experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience a plus.
- Proficiency with POS systems and inventory management functions.
- Strong communication, organizational, and digital literacy skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs and perform physical retail duties.
- Foreign language skills and ready to work in a team environment preferred.
