Job Description

Summary

As an Assistant Supervisor, you will manage the day-to-day operations of various distribution departments, overseeing products, operations, staff, and packing functions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring operational excellence and efficiency in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise, plan, organize, and solve problems for distribution departmental functions.
  • Schedule staff and monitor daily operations and department plans.
  • Conduct interviews for new hire associates and make recommendations.
  • Monitor daily operations to align with business and department plans.
  • Perform performance evaluations and provide associate guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and perform follow-up for associate accuracy.
  • Conduct audits to ensure associate accuracy.
  • Communicate daily with the operations manager.
  • Conduct training for newly hired associates.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in a logistics/distribution environment.
  • Experience operating power equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as requested by management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Professional interaction with both corporate and non-corporate personnel.
  • Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities based on business needs.
  • Excellent math aptitude and numerical recognition.
  • Excellent communication skills.
