Associate Buyer

Summary

The Associate Buyer sources products and supports merchandising strategies to achieve sales and margin goals. In partnership with Buying and Planning colleagues, this role develops financial plans, manages purchase orders and inventory, and responds to customer and market needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop financial plans and support sales, margin, and merchandising goals.
• Prepare business forecasts, buy recaps, and performance assessments.
• Plan assortments for local store needs, manage purchase orders, and coordinate with stores on demand.
• Evaluate vendors, source products, negotiate terms, and ensure timely merchandise delivery.
• Manage open-to-buy and inventory performance with Buying and Planning partners.
• Build relationships with store teams and internal partners, and provide product information and training support.

Requirements

• Two years of associate buying and/or planning experience, preferably in luxury retail.
• Ability to evaluate merchandise assortments and make strategic recommendations based on portfolio performance.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
