Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store. The role leads store operations, talent development, clienteling and community outreach while maintaining brand standards and driving sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
- Educate team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
- Create consistent customer experiences aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and participate in recruitment and networking
- Coach and develop employees through ongoing feedback and learning
- Manage store operations including inventory control and shrink goals
- Champion use of technology to support new selling techniques
- Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations
Requirements
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a high-volume specialty environment preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 30 lbs and standing for multiple hours
- Ability to operate register and work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Proven track record of building positive customer and team relationships
- Business acumen with strong planning and time management skills
