Summary
The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in strategic planning and execution to ensure a profitable store while maintaining brand standards. This role assists in talent development, customer experience delivery, inventory control and operational excellence to drive store performance.
Responsibilities
- Support General Manager in analyzing business trends and creating store initiatives
- Educate team on sales and profit performance tools and resources
- Create a consistent customer experience aligned to brand expectations
- Assist in client development strategy and lead community outreach
- Execute talent strategy and participate in recruitment and networking
- Provide coaching feedback and learning opportunities to employees
- Manage store processes including inventory control to achieve shrink goals
- Champion use of new technology and selling techniques to drive results
- Maintain sales floor and store standards and uphold company policies
Requirements
- Retail management or similar industry experience in a complex high volume specialty environment preferred
- College degree or equivalent a plus
- Strong communication skills with customers and store personnel
- Ability to operate register stand walk and maneuver on the sales floor and lift up to 30 lbs
- Flexible availability including days evenings weekends and potential overnight travel
- Proven track record of building and maintaining positive working relationships
- Business acumen with strong planning prioritization and time management skills
