Summary
Responsible for analyzing, recommending and executing in-season pricing and markdown strategies to drive sales, margin and inventory health across assigned business areas. Uses data and insights to optimize pricing across full price and off price channels, activate pricing tests, and influence senior merchandising leaders to improve business results.
Responsibilities
- Execute in-season activities including markdowns, drop ship and competitive intelligence using data driven insights.
- Develop and deliver operational, competitive and strategic insights to inform business stakeholders.
- Optimize pricing strategies across designated areas to improve turn and sell-through.
- Activate and manage pricing tests to drive improved business outcomes.
- Influence and build trusted relationships with VP and Director level merchandising leaders.
- Manage and optimize markdown budget to meet business unit goals.
- Present recommendations and analyses to senior leadership and collaborate cross functionally.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, math, finance, statistics or engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in retail analysis and pricing preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
- Ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
