Summary
The Beauty Counter Manager is responsible for driving sales and delivering personalized beauty experiences for assigned brands through makeup application, skincare consultations and digital selling. This role balances sales and teaching responsibilities while managing counter operations, vendor events and customer loyalty activities in a fast paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide makeup applications and skincare analyses tailored to customer goals
- Set and achieve personal and counter sales targets using in store and digital tools
- Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to maximize results
- Handle sales transactions including refunds and exchanges
- Open new customer rewards accounts to build loyalty
- Maintain counter organization and cleanliness to keep department customer ready
- Stay current on beauty trends and product knowledge through training
- Work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Passion for beauty, makeup application and skincare
- Excellent customer connection and communication skills
- Ability to handle customer concerns with empathy and respect
- Strong multitasking, organization and follow through
- Drive to meet sales goals and use networking and technology
- High level of ownership, accountability and initiative
- Ability to work flexible schedule based on business needs
- Capable of continuous movement and frequent bending and reaching for 6-8 hours per shift
- Ability to lift regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
