Summary
The Boutique Manager is responsible for overall management of the boutique, including achieving sales targets, managing associates, and maintaining high operational and merchandising standards. This role leads and develops the sales team, drives local business development and clienteling, and ensures exceptional customer service. The manager also oversees store operations, inventory accuracy, visual merchandising, and reporting to regional and corporate leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute boutique business plans, local marketing and promotional strategies to drive store traffic and grow the customer base.
- Demonstrate sales leadership on the selling floor; coach, motivate and recognize sales associates to meet sales and productivity goals.
- Recruit, onboard, train and conduct performance reviews; implement succession planning and team development initiatives.
- Manage daily store operations including scheduling, payroll approval, POS use, inventory management and administrative tasks.
- Maintain inventory accuracy, control shrinkage and prepare qualitative and quantitative business reports for Retail Director and Regional Manager.
- Ensure visual merchandising standards are met and work with corporate visual teams on window and display installations.
- Communicate corporate initiatives to the team and enforce company policies and security procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years experience in luxury retail with 1-2 years of related management experience required.
- Previous experience in high-end watch sales preferred.
- Strong organization, communication, verbal and written skills, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to understand sales, budgets and scheduling.
- Ability to recruit, coach and develop a high-performing sales team in a luxury retail environment.
- Computer proficiency and effective use of POS and inventory systems.
- Flexible, results oriented and able to handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
