Summary
Provide a welcoming checkout experience by processing transactions accurately, maintaining the cashwrap area, and protecting customer information within the point of sale system. Serve as an entry level retail role supporting sales and store operations while representing the brand with professionalism and a customer first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and deliver exceptional customer service at the cashwrap
- Process sales transactions including cash, credit, debit, checks and promotional redemptions
- Validate and process returns ensuring merchandise is saleable and eligible
- Manage Ship to Home orders and maintain customer profiles in the POS
- Support cross selling and upselling to enhance the customer experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashwrap and surrounding areas
- Support visual merchandising and capture reticket information for tagless merchandise
- Answer phones and handle customer inquiries professionally
- Escalate issues to management when necessary
Requirements
- Retail or similar industry experience in a high volume specialty environment preferred
- Ability to operate a register and perform standing and walking for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and maneuver around the sales floor and stock areas
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive working relationships
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days evenings weekends and potential overnight shifts
- Ability to complete company trainings and maintain brand standards
- Attention to detail when processing transactions and handling customer data
