Summary
Provide a customer first checkout experience by greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, maintaining the cashwrap area, and supporting store operations. This position may be offered full time or part time depending on business needs and candidate availability. The role requires standing for extended periods, operating the POS system, and supporting sales through product knowledge and service.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and deliver exceptional customer service
- Process sales transactions including cash credit debit and checks accurately
- Validate returns and manage promotional offers and coupon redemption
- Maintain customer profiles and accurate salesperson data in the POS system
- Support visual merchandising and maintain cleanliness of cashwrap and queue areas
- Answer phones and handle customer inquiries professionally
- Execute ship to home orders and manage tagless reticket information
- Engage in cross selling and upselling to enhance customer experience
- Provide feedback to management on product and category opportunities
Requirements
- Retail or similar industry experience preferred
- Ability to operate a register and stand walk and move for multiple hours
- Ability to lift and climb up to 30 lbs and maneuver around the sales floor
- Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including days evenings weekends and occasional travel
- Ability to complete company trainings and maintain standards and procedures
- Attention to detail when processing transactions and handling returns
