Summary
Lead and implement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement programs within manufacturing ateliers to drive safety, quality, productivity, lead time, service, and cost improvements. Facilitate operational improvement projects, mentor associates in lean tools, and standardize best practices across the network while reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager.
Responsibilities
- Act as a change agent to motivate and implement continuous improvement processes.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing tools to identify and develop operational solutions.
- Mentor associates to ensure transfer of lean knowledge and sustainment.
- Collect and analyze plant process and performance data and recommend improvements to leadership.
- Supervise product and process improvement landmarks to ensure on-time completion.
- Analyze, develop, implement, and standardize manufacturing best practices across sites.
- Audit established Lean Manufacturing processes to ensure sustainability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or manufacturing engineering with emphasis in Lean Manufacturing.
- 3+ years of relevant experience implementing operational improvement in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of lean concepts and tools such as 5S, visual workplace, mistake proofing, PDCA, and standard work.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering tools including time studies, layouts, KPIs, and value added analysis.
- Strong leadership and ability to facilitate and influence direction and lead change.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, and Power BI.
- Bilingual English Spanish highly preferred.
