Cosmetics Operating Assistant - Sherman Oaks

Summary

The Cosmetics Operating Assistant supports the Department Manager in driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining an organized, customer-ready cosmetics department. The role supports merchandise processing, inventory control, events, and the daily operations of the sales team.

Responsibilities

• Provide helpful customer service and support Beauty Advisors and sales staff in completing sales.
• Process merchandise, damages, testers, and vendor returns; maintain organized stock and replenish merchandise.
• Support sales events, promotional execution, inventory, and loss prevention procedures.
• Assist with business planning, staff coordination, training, and coaching in partnership with the Department Manager.
• Monitor sales trends and department presentation, and help maintain a clean, easy-to-shop environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and selling skills.
• Ability to handle basic math, use technology, and work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand and move frequently, lift up to 10 pounds, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, stooping, and climbing ladders.
