Job Description

Summary

David Yurman is seeking a business-minded employment lawyer to join our team as Counsel in Tribeca, New York. This role involves counseling on employment matters and managing employment-related claims, while also playing a key role in ESG, supply chain, and product-related regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and be eager to expand their practice in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Counsel internal teams on a broad range of employment matters including recruiting, hiring, compensation, benefits, and employee relations.
  • Manage employment-related disputes, pre-litigation demands, and employee litigation.
  • Support the development and monitoring of compliant policies and practices.
  • Oversee internal investigations of employee relations matters.
  • Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements and policies.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure compliance with laws related to climate reporting and supply chain due diligence.
  • Help develop and scale ESG reporting programs and processes.
  • Build and deliver internal training programs relevant to employment and regulatory matters.
Requirements
  • JD with at least 5 years of professional experience practicing employment law.
  • Broad expertise in federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Experience with employment issues in a retail workforce.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide practical, strategic, and business-oriented legal advice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop collaborative relationships.
