Summary
The Curating Associate supports the gallery's visual presentation and client experience. This role executes merchandise floor sets, maintains visual standards, and helps drive sales through collaboration with gallery leadership and corporate partners.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute merchandise floor sets while maintaining the gallery's visual integrity.
- Train and mentor gallery team members on floor sets, quality and visual standards, signage, maintenance, recovery, and cleanliness.
- Read and audit planograms and visual maps, and provide creative input on company directives.
- Assist with inventory integrity and communicate product assortment, design ethos, and product care.
- Partner with gallery leadership, curators, and corporate teams to support creative vision, client experience, and sales.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of visual merchandising experience in luxury retail or a related field.
- Strong technical skills using platforms to track inventory and request replacements.
- Highly organized, results-oriented, and attentive to detail, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Mac OS, iOS devices, Microsoft Office, and Google applications.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds, work throughout the gallery and stockroom, and perform prolonged standing, bending, and climbing.
- Basic knowledge of power tools.
