Customer Service Representative

Summary

Provides a seamless and friendly experience assisting customers with transactions, problem resolution, and use of store technologies. Works collaboratively with peers and leadership to inspire trust, support team initiatives such as the rewards program, and maintain customer privacy and security. Position requires a flexible schedule and regular physical activity on the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with a variety of transactions and provide timely, effective resolutions to issues
• Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and multiple operating systems
• Defuse customer situations and escalate when appropriate
• Protect the security and privacy of customer information through compliance and education
• Support team initiatives and motivate customers to adopt programs such as Nordstrom Rewards

Requirements

• Ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leaders and communicate clearly
• Proficiency with MS Windows, iOS, and Android platforms
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work a flexible schedule
• Accountability, initiative, and a high level of ownership
• Physical ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
