Summary
Provide friendly, efficient customer service in a store environment, assisting customers with transactions, technologies, and program adoption while maintaining privacy and security of customer information. Work a variable schedule to meet business needs and support team relationships and problem resolution.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with a variety of transactions through a seamless and friendly experience
- Demonstrate expertise in store technologies and multiple operating systems
- Defuse customer situations and provide timely resolutions
- Ensure security and privacy of customer information through education and compliance
- Motivate customers to adopt loyalty programs such as Nordstrom Rewards
- Inspire trust and positive relationships within the team
- Work a flexible schedule with hours that vary by week based on business needs
- Perform continuous movement and physical tasks including bending, reaching and lifting
Requirements
- Ability to build effective relationships with customers, peers and leadership
- Proficiency with MS Windows, iOS and Android
- Clear, effective communication and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Accountability, initiative and high level of ownership
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs
- Capable of continuous movement for 6-8 hours and lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally
