Job Description

Summary

The Demand Forecaster creates gross demand sales plans and manages replenishment assortment productivity to align with customer and product strategies. This role partners with replenishment, buying, and planning teams to improve forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency, and in-stock performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop demand forecasts with replenishment associates and merchant partners that align with customer demand, merchandise strategy, and financial goals.
  • Support pre-season planning with data-driven recommendations, scenario planning, and actionable strategies.
  • Identify and communicate item performance and inventory risks, opportunities, and insights.
  • Improve forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency, and processes through analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Represent the forecasting perspective in business meetings and maintain accurate item attributes and default settings.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in retail merchandise planning, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, communication, and influencing skills; statistics proficiency preferred.
  • Experience managing high-SKU, high-revenue, or seasonal categories.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, planning, and forecasting tools, with adaptability to new tools and processes.
  • Customer-first mindset, understanding of the retail environment, and commitment to continuous improvement.
