Job Description
Summary
The Department Manager leads a department team to achieve quantitative and qualitative goals, acting as a brand ambassador and proactive sales professional. They implement action plans from HQ and store leadership, oversee merchandising and stock rotation, and develop team performance through coaching and recruitment.
Responsibilities
- Implement action plans and assign targeted goals to the department
- Analyze sales and results daily, weekly and monthly and report to store leadership
- Supervise department presentation, merchandising and product rotation
- Manage stock verification and collaborate with buying and warehouse teams
- Recruit, train and develop store team members and lead morning briefs and one to one meetings
- Promote clienteling mindset and ensure consistent client experience and retention
- Monitor local competition and follow up on performance metrics such as NPS
- Ensure compliance with legal, safety and loss prevention processes and optimize warehouse management
- Coordinate with other department managers and operations to improve processes
Requirements
- Minimum three years of managerial experience leading a team of at least five people
- Significant experience in the luxury retail industry with client portfolio management
- Strong clienteling, sales and client engagement skills
- Product sensitivity and knowledge of market and fashion trends
- Excellent interpersonal, motivation and coaching abilities
- Organizational skills with attention to detail and prioritization
- Adaptability, openness and strong communication skills
- High availability and responsiveness
- Proficiency with digital tools and reporting
