Design Assistant, Polo Men's Denim & Bottoms

Summary

The Design Assistant supports the development of men's denim and bottoms from concept through production. The role contributes to research, design execution, sample organization, and communication with cross-functional partners while learning the product creation process and brand design standards.

Responsibilities

• Research seasonal trends, fabrics, trims, colors, prints, silhouettes, and reference materials.
• Assist with sketches, flats, CADs, colorings, renderings, mock-ups, and design presentations.
• Prepare and maintain Tech Packs, design files, seasonal boards, samples, and design archives.
• Track production samples, strike-offs, and submits, and support fittings and design documentation updates.
• Share product information and support communication across design and product development partners.

Requirements

• Internship, academic project experience, or exposure to fashion design, product development, or merchandising preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with strong sketching and illustration skills.
• Understanding of garment construction and product development fundamentals preferred.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and follow-up skills.
• Interest in fashion, product creation, and AI-supported design tools; willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
