Summary
The Designated Selling Associate delivers one-on-one customer service and champions assigned brands to drive sales both in-store and through digital channels. This role builds lasting customer relationships, educates customers and peers on product and trends, and supports departmental merchandising and inventory needs. The DSA uses appointment-based selling and various selling tools to meet sales goals and enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools, text, social media and reservations.
- Drive appointment-based selling and cultivate relationships with existing and new customers.
- Provide product and style advice to customers and educate peers on brand trends and product knowledge.
- Conduct DSA-run product knowledge meetings and provide product feedback to the district manager.
- Maintain department presentation including stocking, re-merchandising, displays, price markdowns and merchandise transfers.
- Grow sales by opening new Nordstrom Rewards accounts and participating in promotional events.
- Perform other departmental duties as needed to support business operations.

- Physical capability for continuous movement 6-8 hours per shift, frequent bending and reaching, and lifting items up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
