Designer, Polo Women's Performance Outerwear

Summary

The Designer will develop women's product within the Polo Women's Performance Outerwear category, overseeing the design cycle from ideation through bulk fittings and collaborating with Concept Design and technical teams. The role involves creating CADs, design boards, trims and fabrication direction, and ensuring products align with creative direction and commercial strategy. This position supports seasonal line plans and presentations to design leadership.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the design cycle from initial garment ideation through bulk fittings
• Research market trends for product, trim and graphics and create inspiration boards
• Collaborate with Concept Design team and Design Leads to prepare for seasonal kickoff
• Create CADs according to design briefs and line plans
• Design and develop trims and techniques for Performance Outerwear
• Create design boards and present to design leadership
• Choose and provide development direction for fabrication, components, trims and yarns
• Approve prototypes for aesthetics and attend required fittings with technical teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred
• Experience designing women's sportswear, knits, performance knits or activewear
• Proficient in hand sketching, illustration and CAD
• Proven ability to lead a team to capture creative vision aligned with merchandising strategy
• Experience collaborating with concept design and technical teams
