Summary
Associate Product Manager role focused on Connected Retail to gather, document, and execute functional and system requirements. The position partners with cross functional teams to translate business needs into technical and consumer centric solutions and supports rollout and user adoption. Role is based in NY NJ with hybrid in office 2-3 days a week.
Responsibilities
- Gather and document business and functional requirements through workshops, use cases, user stories, and workflow analysis.
- Translate high level information into detailed specifications and abstract low level details to general understanding.
- Evaluate information from multiple sources to reconcile conflicts and influence product direction.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to assess feasibility of features and capture requirements.
- Collaborate with store associates, architects, developers, and subject matter experts to establish technical vision and analyze tradeoffs.
- Analyze operational performance data to measure success and identify root causes of problems.
- Assist with rollout of new functionality and execute user acceptance testing and test plans.
- Provide support and triage complex issues, outline impacts and resolutions, and work with development teams to implement solutions.
- Document user manuals and training materials to ensure end users can manage new features.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technology field.
- Minimum 2 years of product management or related experience with track record of delivering results.
- Experience writing business requirement documentation, functional and system requirements, user stories, workflows, and test cases.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate customer and business needs into application and operational requirements.
- Excellent communication and writing skills and ability to manage multiple projects across organizations.
- Comfortable working in a highly matrixed, iterative development environment and balancing collaboration and advocacy.
- Able to work independently and under direction of product and project managers.
