Reports to: VP, Financial Planning & Analysis

Role Overview

As FP&A Director, you will cultivate strategic partnerships and provide executive financial leadership for two (2) of the Watch Brands locally, regionally, and centrally. You will gain an in-depth understanding of each brand's strategic imperatives to drive comprehensive financial processes, provide critical insights for strategic decision-making, and oversee the monitoring of key brand performance indicators (KPIs). As a senior member of the FP&A Watch Brands team, you will also champion and drive various cross-brand initiatives, ensuring a robust internal controls environment and compliance with regional, brand, and Group directives/regulations.

This role demands superior interpersonal and influencing skills, with significant interaction amongst key stakeholders throughout the organization, including local and central brand leadership, as well as within Richemont Americas regional functions across the US, Canada, LATAM, Mexico, and Brazil. Based in NY to capitalize on proximity to local brand teams, enabling strong business partnership and agility, this role reports into the AVP, FP&A Watch Brands.

  • Lead advanced sales analysis to interpret evolution, trends, and key drivers, providing actionable insights for strategic growth and risk mitigation.
  • Oversee the monthly close process, collaborating with business partners, managing critical deadlines, ensuring accurate financial results, monitoring phasing, and analyzing trends to provide strategic commentary.
  • Manage comprehensive balance sheet and cash flow analysis (customer deposits, current liabilities, accounts receivable, stock provisions, sales return provisions, lease reporting) as a basis for sound strategic budgeting/forecasting, including monthly phasing and long-term projections.
  • Deliver strategic variance analysis to business partners, highlighting potential risks and opportunities, and providing proactive recommendations for course correction or acceleration.
  • Present executive-level financial reporting to brand management, including insightful commentary and strategic recommendations. Continuously evolve relevant reporting and dashboards to meet the evolving strategic needs of the brands.
  • Provide transversal review and analysis on various initiatives across brands (stock provisions, sales return provision) to ensure compliance and consistency.

  • Lead the preparation of capital investment requisitions (CARs), including detailed P&Ls, supporting commentary, and relevant comparatives to brand KPIs. Provide expert guidance on appropriate policies and templates, as well as strategic insight on P&L specifics based on brand and/or regional metrics. Liaise with all key stakeholders (local and central brand teams - commercial, finance, construction; real estate, accounting).
  • Oversee and manage capex spending by project versus budget and approved capital investment requests; collaborate with brand teams for transparency and reconciliation. Proactively identify and communicate potential issues and recommend solutions.
  • Drive financial guidance for business development, optimizing costs to maximize regional brand profit and cash flow.
  • Provide strategic oversight for Advertising & Promotion (A&P) investments in partnership with local and HQ marketing teams, ensuring their optimization, accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and alignment with brand marketing initiatives and regional objectives.

Operational Excellence and Internal Controls

  • Lead the consolidation of operating results across the Americas region, working with Mexico/Brazil finance teams, to provide a comprehensive regional overview for local brand management and ensure strategic alignment, consistency of regional best practices, brand objectives, Richemont policies, internal controls, and compliance.
