Job Description

Summary

The Director, Real Estate will lead strategy and execution for the companys North American retail real estate portfolio from the SoHo New York headquarters. This role collaborates with senior leadership to identify locations negotiate leases and align real estate decisions with financial and strategic objectives. The position oversees site selection portfolio management and construction coordination while supporting expansion and marketplace execution.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee real estate portfolio of 80+ doors
  • Lead planning development and acquisition of new site selection
  • Provide strategic analysis and market planning for store locations
  • Negotiate lease renewals and manage lease portfolio strategy
  • Identify new store opportunities and provide sales forecasts for proposed sites
  • Manage budget for new store openings relocations and remodels
  • Coordinate with architects engineers contractors and consultants to ensure construction schedules
  • Develop and execute growth strategy using demographic analytics
  • Travel to markets for store visits and market assessment

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in retail real estate focusing on retailer portfolio growth
  • Proven experience leading successful business negotiations
  • Notable networking skills with landlords developers and brokers
  • Analytical skillset with ability to analyze financial and demographic data
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills and ability to influence across the organization
  • Ability to work independently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional knowledge of retail markets across North America
  • Strong planning organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 40 percent as required
