Summary
Lead global visual merchandising and store design strategy to define brand standards, design systems, and governance for all physical channels. Own scalable retail concepts, guidelines, and approval processes while partnering with regional teams and external designers to ensure consistent brand expression and commercial alignment.
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve global store design concepts, fixture systems, and visual standards for boutiques, shop-in-shops, and open-sell environments
- Partner with external architects and design consultants to develop scalable retail concepts aligned with brand strategy
- Provide design frameworks, guidelines, and brand codes to regional and local teams
- Establish approval criteria and governance for floorplans and shop designs
- Develop global visual merchandising strategies and launch frameworks with Creative
- Translate campaign concepts into scalable VM principles, directives, and playbooks
- Own interior merchandising principles including planogram logic and in-store storytelling
- Define approaches for theatre, hospitality, pop-ups, and special activations
- Lead VMSD workstreams for regional and local market launches and vet local vendors
Requirements
- 12 years of related experience minimum
- Proven project management skills leading multiple projects from concept to execution
- Leadership experience motivating cross functional teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills with experience in branding initiatives and consumer marketing
- Knowledge of department and industry standards for retail design and merchandising
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to develop governance models and scalable design systems
- Willingness to perform light to moderate physical tasks and remain stationary for extended periods
