Director, Sourcebook Copy

Summary

Lead a team of editors on the Brand Copy team to ensure accurate, consistent sourcebook content and uphold the company style and voice. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to set priorities, schedules, and deliverables for print and digital sourcebook editions. This on-site role is based at the home office in Corte Madera, CA and includes oversight of international pricing verification and various editorial assets.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of editors, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment.
• Write, edit, and proofread sourcebook copy and other print and digital assets as needed.
• Collaborate with partners to develop sourcebook schedules, assign contributors, and meet deadlines.
• Maintain and update the style guide and word list, and track product information updates.
• Verify pricing for Canadian, UK, and EU editions and oversee copyediting of spec sheets, care sheets, signage, and instructions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of copyediting experience; retail, home furnishings, or luxury retail experience highly desirable.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and support team members.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with stakeholders across functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Suite.
