Summary
Lead the visual merchandising and store design strategy for Guerlain across the United States from the New York corporate office. Drive merchandising standards, design solutions, retailer relationships and flagship store projects in partnership with Paris HQ.
Responsibilities
- Elevate the Guerlain image across points of sale by designing and implementing merchandising elements, event and counter animation tools.
- Create and maintain a visual merchandising database with information on each department store door and key retailer contacts.
- Analyze existing merchandising tools, propose new solutions, and customize strategies to support marketing and sales efforts.
- Develop and deliver on-the-job training and visual display standards to field sales and store teams.
- Partner with marketing and vendors for seasonal updates and Sephora gondola implementations.
- Manage store design projects: review design and construction documents, coordinate bids, review shop drawings, supervise on-site construction and manage punch lists.
Requirements
- 10+ years of visual merchandising and store design experience in a related industry.
- Degree in architecture, industrial or interior design required.
- Strong analytical, oral and written presentation skills; highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, lead teams and travel as required.
