Distribution Center Associate - Putaway

Summary

The Distribution Center Associate is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, picking, put-away, and shipping of product to meet safety, security, and productivity standards at the distribution facility. This role supports efficient inventory flow and material handling to ensure product integrity and on-time shipments. The position requires physical labor, attention to detail, and adherence to operational and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Receive pallets and verify receipts by purchase order, aligning product by vendor.
• Stage and load outbound trailers following shipping best practices and load accuracy standards.
• Perform put-away, picking, and stacking to protect product and facilitate safe handling.
• Meet individual, team, and departmental productivity and performance goals.
• Operate in compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations and maintain a clean warehouse.

Requirements

• 1+ years of distribution or warehouse experience.
• Basic mathematics and reading skills; strong understanding of inventory flow.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to consistently lift a minimum of 50 lbs and perform prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, and climbing.
