Engineer 2 - Inventory Ordering Team

As an Engineer 2 on the Inventory Ordering Team, you will bring your technical expertise to Nordstrom's Purchase Order Management systems, enhancing the customer experience through innovative solutions. You will work in a hybrid role, collaborating in a team-oriented environment to build and support applications using Java, AWS, GCP, and Oracle technologies.

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable systems to drive business forward.
• Write clean, consistent code and contribute to continuous improvement practices.
• Collaborate in a SCRUM team, participating in code reviews and sprint planning.
• Support production systems and ensure smooth transitions from development to deployment.
• Partner with business, infrastructure, and security teams to maintain system integrity.
• Assist in planning and defining high-level software strategies and solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and apply new technologies to improve performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems.

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong frontend skills with frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
• Backend expertise in Node.js, Java, .NET, or Python.
• Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud platforms.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Retail industry experience is a plus.
