Facilities Associate - Oak Brook Gallery

Summary

Facilities Associate responsible for executing maintenance and housekeeping initiatives at the gallery to ensure the building, grounds, systems and storage structures meet company standards. Works closely with the gallery team to prioritize repairs, perform preventive maintenance on equipment, and maintain a safe work environment. Supports quick response to downtime and helps implement process improvements to minimize interruption to operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate facility maintenance and housekeeping activities to ensure optimum service levels
• Oversee repairs and upkeep of building, grounds, systems and storage structures
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment including forklifts, fans, doors and dock plates
• Manage prioritization and scheduling of work orders and maintenance tasks
• Minimize downtime through preventive, reactive and predictive maintenance
• Maintain a safe work environment by observing and enforcing OSHA and HAZMAT requirements
• Respond quickly to downtime situations affecting production or gallery operations
• Collaborate with gallery team to ensure maintenance needs meet company standards

Requirements

• Experience with preventative maintenance and repair
• Experience identifying and presenting opportunities for process improvement
• Excellent communication and project management skills
• Ability to execute and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
• Ability to lift and mobilize items up to 30 lbs using appropriate equipment
• Ability to maneuver around gallery floor, stock room and office
• Capability for prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending and climbing
