Job Description

Summary

The Facilities Associate Porter supports housekeeping and facility maintenance at the Corte Madera campus, performing repairs, groundskeeping, and hospitality support to maintain high design-centric standards. The role executes work orders, coordinates with third-party services, and handles tasks such as carpet repair, furniture moves, and office upgrades. This position requires flexibility for variable shifts and a service-oriented approach focused on minimizing downtime and maintaining safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform housekeeping and facility maintenance to ensure optimal service levels
  • Complete quality repairs and upkeep for building, grounds, systems, and storage structures
  • Lead lunch and dinner service setups, refreshment stand setups, and maintain kitchenette appliances
  • Maintain campus grounds and landscaping on a regular schedule
  • Conduct carpet repair and cleaning, move furniture, and hang art and decor
  • Minimize downtime through preventive, reactive, and predictive maintenance
  • Observe and enforce OSHA, food safety, and HAZMAT requirements to maintain a safe work environment
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and ensure timely completion of work orders

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year in a hospitality, restaurant, or retail position with elevated service standards
  • Service-oriented attitude with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize incoming requests, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent oral, written, and listening communication skills and project management ability
  • Creative problem solving and focus on process improvement and best practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Apps a plus; flexibility to work variable shifts
