Summary
The Facilities Tech 1 executes preventative maintenance and supports troubleshooting and repairs of material handling equipment at the distribution center. The role assists operations with maintenance solutions and projects while contributing to building and department goals.
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
- Troubleshoot maintain and repair material handling systems and conveyors
- Diagnose basic relay logic ladder diagrams and control components such as photo eyes motor starters relays and sensors
- Safely operate forklifts scissor and boom lifts and use hand tools
- Use a work order system to create and close out work orders with labor hours equipment maintenance and parts used
- Support maintenance projects and design maintenance solutions for difficult problems
- Maintain positive working relationships across departments
- Perform physical tasks including moving up to 49lbs and standing or walking during shifts up to 12 hours
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with conveyors electrical systems and building maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment
- Familiarity with power pneumatic or hydraulic tools
- Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
