Facilities Technician 2 - Electrical & HVAC

Summary

The Maintenance Technician II helps lead facilities maintenance across multiple Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack locations, ensuring stores are safe and ready for business. The role performs hands-on repairs and preventive maintenance while supporting the Facility Manager, mentoring technicians, and coordinating with store leaders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform scheduled preventive maintenance and on-demand repairs for building systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, and building control systems.
• Monitor building systems, conduct equipment rounds, identify malfunctions, and maintain accurate CMMS records.
• Support parts ordering, vendor coordination, meetings, safety compliance, and emergency response.
• Mentor and train other technicians and communicate maintenance outcomes to store leadership.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or college education preferred.
• At least 5 years of hands-on facilities maintenance experience and preventive maintenance experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with HVAC and refrigeration, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot controls, work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.
• Experience with CMMS and ordering systems; intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and lift 50 pounds or more.
